The Pacific Pirate AU: Things no one probably wants to know, but that I’ll share anyway

Also that tiny snippet of story that I actually managed to write, but that I don’t know if I’ll finish because I’m an uninspired piece of shit.

• All the ships are totally named after places in the show. So Haldane is the Captain of the Peleliu, Leckie has the Tenaru and there’s another ship called the Melbourne (which is a ship owned by the official navy that disappeared at some point with a large treasure onboard)
  
• Ack Ack is totally a Captain Flint (from Black Sails if y’all haven’t seen that) kind of dude, but a bit less… destructive. He started out as a naval officer, who then eventually joined the pirates, together with his right hand man, Eddie Jones, and some other men. However, he’s a bit of an odd pirate and a lot of people don’t trust him, because he has a thing about keeping away from anything associated with the Crown and the navy, so he rarely takes part in big pirate attacks. So people kind of think he might be secretly working for the Crown to gather information about the pirates and their secrets. 
• Leckie used to work for another pirate Captain onboard the Tenaru, but started a mutiny after the old Captain got a lot of people killed and refused to share plunder with his men. Leckie was never really planning on becoming Captain, and he usually avoids calling himself that, but it is totally what he is. He’s a bit of a wildcard, and some people don’t trust him either, but more because they never know what he will do next. 
• Leckie’s crew is basically H Company, Haldane’s is K Company. Do with that what you want, I’m tired.
• Contrary to what people might think, Chuckler is Leckie’s right hand man, because I feel like that makes a lot more sense than it being Hoosier. I mean, Hoosier (and Runner, of course) are still there and kinda important, but Chuckler is the dude Leckie relies upon the most, and he was also the guy who helped him instigate the mutiny that got them to where they are now.
• I like to think that they’re all pirates in the South Pacific, just because. 
• Leckie probably plans to take advantage of Haldane at first, and Haldane kinda just wants to get Leckie out of his life, but I’d like to think that they actually end up trusting each other. I had this idea of them getting attacked while trying to steal Leckie’s ship back from the navy, and Leckie entrusting his crew with Haldane because he knows he will take good care of them. 
• Potentially salty crews not liking each other, but actually realising they’re not so different after all?? They’re all just bros being dudes trying to get rich, right??
• Anyway I think that’s all I have for now?? I mean I could totally come up with more things and I’ll try to write some more for this whenever inspiration strikes next! If you have any thoughts/ideas/comments, please don’t hesitate to message me!!

• Also! This all kinda happened because of Steffan Argus’ EP “Lost at sea” so totally check that out if you want something to set the mood. Also the Black Sails intro is a big mood for this!
