OTP asks: Troy/Moffitt, 8, 17, 20

What were their first impressions of each other? Troy: He thought Moffitt was a know it all Brit who was trying to take over his group. Moffitt: He thought Troy was a good leader and very dedicated to the safety of his men, but he also thought that Troy was insubordinate to a degree that would earn a court marshal in his army.  

17) What senses (sights, smells, feelings, etc). remind them of each other? Troy: the smell of frankincense and myrrh (because it smells like the Arab markets/spices Moffitt loves), old paper, and tea remind him of Moffitt. As well as the sight of any old ruin (as well as anything blue cause Moffitt’s ascot) and the sound of a kettle boiling over. Moffitt: the sight of the ocean (because Troy talks about his childhood and the ocean cause he’s Greek and Troy’s eyes), an Australian bush hat, the smell of sandalwood (Troy’s cologne), and the feeling of a rush of adrenaline.

What is a promise they have made to each other? They promised that no matter how mad they get, they will always come back to the other. I feel that both of them are the type of people that need to cool off when they get mad, but they need to cool off for different types of mad. Troy gets mad easier, but also simmers down faster. Moffitt has a short temper but it only gets set of by specific things, and it takes him a while to cool down. So when they argue, one of them will have to walk away to cool off so that they don’t say/do something they regret, but no matter what, they will come back and finish talking.

Space AU, Anger Born of Worry, Hitch/Tully

Tropes Mash-Up: The Rat Patrol are fighting the space war against space fascism. Their ship takes some damage and they temporarily lose oxygen, so they have to use their SCBAs. Only after the crisis has passed to they find out that Tully’s was damaged, and he’s on the verge of asphyxiation, but he didn’t want to distract the others from saving the ship. Once it’s clear he’s going to be fine. Hitch all but tackles him, yelling at him for being an idiot and not knowing how important he is to the ship and to Hitch personally. Tully looks to Troy and Moffitt for help, but they make it clear he’s on his own. Finally, the only way he can put an end to the lecture is to kiss Hitch. Hitch is still angry, and this isn’t over, but he’s willing to let it go for now. Troy and Moffitt decide to give them some time alone to work it out.
