As a 90′s kid, it blows my mind that origami youtube videos exist. You can look up any model and watch a pair of manicured hands assemble the thing in real time, in full color, in 3D, with cheerful flute music in the background. When I was little, you had a library book with no words and these esoteric little dotted lines and arrows and it was just you, your hands, your paper, and the cruel, uncaring eyes of God.
i’ve been on the internet for a good decade of my life. i’ve seen some shit in that decade. i’ve been around for newgrounds and those /b/ raids and enjoyed fun memes such as ‘shoop da whoop’ and ‘do a barrel roll’ and i was even around for the birth of numa numa and all your base are belong to us. it’d be presumptuous to call myself an internet veteran but i’ve been on the internet for over half of my life okay i’ve seen nearly awful shock website and unfunny meme the internet has to offer so i don’t even question why things happen and go viral anymore.

I can’t remember which of my mutuals was asking about “the My Immortal of other genres” a while back but Gene Ray’s Timecube “theory” is it for socio-physics thinkpieces.
