Yeah it’s literally about something only women and afab people experience. It’s about the experience of being spoken to like your stupid and understand nothing and can’t possibly have an opinion. It’s about women understanding how the others feel when they witness this happening or when they are both experiencing it. It’s about the fact that being born female in this society means being mistreated and seen as lesser by those not born female. It’s about the solidarity and understanding between women because all of them have gone through this at least once. It’s literally battling the dehumanising experience of being spoken to like you know less than nothing. But go ahead and cry about the fact that women not liking to be treated like dirt is dehumanising. After all, we should all just shut up and put up with oppression right? Or you’ll just call us evil bitches, or cold sluts. Women have free thought and intelligence and deserve to be treated as such, but go off i guess.
Yes, being spoken to like you’re stupid is dehumanizing. But I’m sure non-white men, at least, have experienced this. Also, people tend to think disabled people must all be treated like they’re small children or idiots and often talk to and about them in dehumanizing ways. This is not a woman only thing

I’m not discussing them, I’m pointing out that “something only women and afab people experience” is wrong. That’s all. The person I replied to made what I thought was an incorrect generalization, I pointed out that other, non afab people go through the same experience.
the irony of your comments is that they are exactly why the post exists. you assume exaggerations are only literal, and do not listen to what the post is about. you read it, yes, but you don’t listen. you are demonstrating that your thoughts are more “okay how do i try to counter this post?” than “how do i tackle this problem?” you are more focused on debating than the topic.

We all know damn well what the post is supposed to be about; I for one (and my take is complementary to, but not the same, as lookashiny’s) am critiquing the fact that the words used in the post describe a more specific thing than is indicated by the wording, by design. I went ahead and put the translation on the original comic, just because it’s good practice for me as I work on my own comics and art. It forces me to study how professional artists do their lettering and how they structure their text to fit with the action. I feel like I’m learning something, at least.
